Old Fashioned

AGNES - Rugosa: Very fragrant, fully double blooms of medium yellow, with fresh ferny foliage. One of the few yellow Rugosa ever produced, this rose is a must. Disease free and hardy.

BLANC DOUBLE DE COUBERT - Rugosa: Semi-double pure white flowers, almost papery texture, produced throughout the season. Strong fragrance, and large fruit. Recurrent.

BUFF BEAUTY - Hybrid Musk: Double flowers of medium apricot-gold that repeat on a lusty and hardy bush. Very sweet scent.

CARDINAL DE RICHELLEU - Gallica: One of the darkest Gallicas, having rich purple blooms with reflexing petals. Floriferous. Very fragrant. Responds to hard pruning, thinning and feeding. Dark green foliage and few thorns. One of the finest old roses.

CECILE BRUNNER - Polyantha: Sweetheart Rose. - Flowers are small double pale pink and very fragrant with a long flowering season. Free grower. Recurrent.

CHARLES DE MILLS - Gallica: Rich lovely deep maroon purple flowers, on a bushy compact plant. 1.5m with lush green foliage.

CLAIRE MATIN - Shrub: Dainty sprays of semi-double salmon-pink flowers with slight fragrance. Blooms repeat well. Growth is strong and could be trained as a climber.

CORNELIA - Hybrid Musk: Plentiful small coral-pink flowers on a 2m bush. Has a good crop of fruit. Very fragrant. Repeat flowering.
   

CORYLUS - Rugosa Hybrid: Repeat displays of saucer shaped flowers of medium pink with bright golden stamens. Rich dark green glossy foliage is a feature, as are the bright scarlet hips. Upright spreading plant to 1.2m.

FELICIA - Hybrid Musk: Semi-double pink fading to blush-white blooms on a compact bushy plant with nice foliage. Richly fragrant. Repeat flowering.

FRAU DAGMAR HASTRUPP - Rugosa: Single clear pink flowers with prominent stamens. Compact healthy growth, with crimson fruit. Very fragrant. Hardy plants that withstand coastal conditions. The hips are a good source of Vitamin C.

GOLDEN WINGS - Shrub: Large single golden yellow flowers with dark stamens. Very free flowering and very fragrant giving a constant display to focus in the garden.

GREENSLEEVES - Floribunda: Clusters of pink-green buds opening to very different blooms of chartreuse green. Good repeater. A delightful flower for picking.

GRUSS AN AACHEN Clusters of medium sized blooms, which are pale orange-red with yellow opening to a pearly blush and cream. Being short in height makes this an ideal rose for using to edge a border, or for small beddings or groups. It has a pleasing fragrance with rich dark green foliage.

MUTABILLS - China: Attractive single blooms which change colour as they age from yellow, to pink, then coppery crimson. Recurrent.

PENELOPE - Hybrid Musk: Semi-double opening flat creamy pink blooms that repeat on an attractive plant to 1.5m. Has abundance of orange-pink fruit and strongly fragrant.

ROSERAIE DE L'HAY- Rugosa: One of the finest Rugosas, rich purple-crimson blooms produced repeatedly. Lovely fragrance. A strong growing shrub, sometimes bears hips.

   

SCABROSA - Rugosa: Large mauve pink single flowers - simply gorgeous with a carnation-like fragrance. Light green wrinkled foliaged and superb large round red hips in autumn. Flowers all season. Strong growing to 1.5m

SOUVENIR DE LA MALMAISON - Bourbon: Large, soft pink, cupped at first, then opening flat and quartered, blooms which are deliciously fragrant. Compact growing shrub. Recurrent.

SPARRIESHOOP - Shrub: Lovely shades of pink, apricot and salmon, paling in the centre. Flowers a little more than single and nicely fragrant. A hardy strong plant that almost continuously flowers.

TUSCANY SUPERB - Gallica: This wonderful old rose has delighted gardeners for over 150 years, with it's large, velvety, blackish crimson flowers oozing old-world fragrance. Vigorous upright growth, flowering in Summer.
 

WILLIAM LOBB - Moss: Medium sized purplish-crimson shaded flowers on a tall, mossy plant. Fragrant. Flowers appear mid-summer.
