Starship
Starship Starship Starship
STARSHIP Bob and Cath (Matthews) and I have been assessing this rose for four years now, since it was imported as a seedling from Harkness Roses in UK . Right from the start, during its two years in quarantine, it stood out because of its health, amount of flower, and overall performance.
It's a well behaved, fairly compact grower, around 80cm to a metre high, one of the healthiest new roses we've had on the nursery over the last few years, (and we've had some really good ones), very quick to put on repeat flower after the old ones drop, and it's just such a bright, cheery, colourful rose that flowers in profusion from October till April. No fussing and finicking over this one. It's an easy care rose that anyone, child or adult, could grow and be happy with. Plant one in your child's or grandchild's new vege garden. Or make them a new flower garden and plant six!
There are so many families around the country who have been touched and helped by the Starship Childrens Hospital. Here's a great opportunity to buy a Starship rose to give to someone special, and help the Starship Foundation financially at the same time.
